CommonGround volunteer Sharon Portenier shares her recipe for Protein Bars with Pure Nebraska viewers.

Sharon explains you can customize your muffins for your family by adding chocolate chips, cinnamon, raisins or nuts to your muffins.

Protein Muffins


  • 5 bananas – mashed
  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp powdered peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder


  • Mix all ingredients together. Place in Muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.
  • You can top with chocolate chips, craisns or any topping of your choice.
