We’re thrilled to share CommonGround Nebraska volunteer Karol Swan on Pure Nebraska to share her festive recipe treat for the 4th of July! Karol’s recipe is perfect for celebrating Independence Day with friends and family!


  • 10 Clear Plastic or Glass 1-cup containers 

Bottom Crust

  • 1 1/2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Melted Butter

  Pudding Layer

  • 8 Ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 4 Ounce Package Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tub Whipped Topping


  • 1 Pound Fresh Strawberries (washed and cut into small pieces)
  • 1 Pint Fresh Blueberries (washed and dried)

Top Layer

  • 1 Tub Whipped Topping


  • Mix Graham Cracker crumbs and sugar. Add melted butter and stir well. Set aside
  • Mix pudding mixture well and set aside.
  • In each of the 10 cups, press 1/4 cup crumb mix in the bottom.
  •  Layer 1/4 cup pudding, 1/4 cup strawberries, 1/4 cup pudding.
  • Divide blueberries over the 10 serving cups.
  • Top with Whipped topping just before serving.
  • *These refrigerate well, so you can make them ahead of time.
