CommonGround volunteer Karol Swan shares her recipe for Retro Fruit Salad or dessert with Pure Nebraska viewers.

Ingredients
- 4 oz. tub of cream cheese softened
- 1 8 oz. tub whipped topping
- 1 3 oz. package lemon jello, used dry
- 1 11 oz. can of mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained, can be cut in half or left whole
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Mix cream cheese and whipped topping until smooth.
- Add dry jello.
- Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and chill.
- Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and chill.
- Nuts can be replaced with chopped celery to give similar crunch.
- Marshmallows can be omitted if desired and the recipe will still work.
