Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 3/4 uncooked quick oats
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 - 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • Sauce: (Can use 1/3 ketchup, 1 1/2 T brown sugar and 1 tsp mustard if using in loaf pan)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 T brown sugar
  • 2 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Gently combine all ingredients (except sauce) in a large bowl. Transfer to a greased 8x11 pan (or loaf pan).
  2. Bake (uncovered) for about 50-60 minutes, or until meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees and juices run clear. Tilt the pan to drain off grease, spread ketchup mixture on top, and return to oven for 10 more minutes.
  3. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with a side of veggies and mashed sweet potatoes!
