Anita Keys, CommonGround Nebraska volunteer, shares her delicious Beef and Bean Burrito Meat recipe with Pure Nebraska viewers.


  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 16 Ounce Beans of choice (pinto, refried, cooked from Nebraska beans))
  • 2 Cups Salsa of choice (homemade, diced tomatoes & green chilies, purchased salsa)
  • 8 Ounces Grated cheese of choice
  • 8 8-inch Flour tortillas


  • Brown and drain hamburger.
  • Warm and mash beans. Add to brown beef.
  • Add salsa and cook until desired consistency. 
  • At this point you can serve it warm, refrigerate or freeze for later. 
  • Serve on a flour tortilla with cheese, veggies, and fruit.
