My passion for farming and agriculture developed as a child. Although I grew up in northwest Omaha, I spent many hours of my childhood helping out on my grandparents’ diversified farm in Washington County. I hold an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Leadership from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a graduate degree in Agricultural Education and Communication from K-State. My husband, Seth Gebers, and I farm with his family near Nelson, where we are raising our two girls as well as dryland corn and soybeans. I also work off the farm for RIPE (Rural Investment to Protect our Environment) as the Coalition and Outreach Program Manager. In our free time, my family and I enjoy spending time outside, attending Husker sporting events, traveling and visiting family and friends.
