Ingredients

  • 2 qt. corn, cut from the cob (4 dozen ears of corn gave me ~6 qt…. This really depends on the length of the cob, fullness of the ear, variety of sweet corn, etc.)
  • 1 pt. or 2 c. water
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 2 t. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in large pot, say 6 or 8 qt.
  2. Boil 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cool in container with high sides in ice water bath.
  4. Make ~ 3-4 pt.
