Ingredients
Seasoning Mix Ingredients
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Main Dish Ingredients
- 4 cups thinly sliced fresh raw carrots, peeled or scrubbed
- 4 cups thinly sliced raw potatoes, peeled or scrubbed
- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- 1.5-2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained of grease
- 2 cans cream of celery or cream of chicken soup
Instructions
- Combine all seasoning mix ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
- In a 9 x 13 glass baking dish layer the carrots, and sprinkle with one-third of the seasoning mix.
- Add a layer of potatoes, followed by another third of the seasoning.
- Layer the onions on top, then sprinkle with the remaining seasoning.
- Spread the browned ground beef evenly over the top.
- Pour and spread the two cans of soup over the ground beef.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 1 hour, or until the carrots are tender.
- If making ahead and refrigerating, bake for at least 1.5 hours if coming straight from the fridge.
