Steakhouse Potato Salad
Write a review
  1. 5 large red potatoes cleaned and cut into 1” cubes (leave skin on)
  2. ½ c sour cream
  3. ¼ c mayonnaise
  4. 1 T your favorite steak seasoning (for this, I prefer Montreal Steak Seasoning & we add more to taste) Emmet (my 18-year-old) is my taste tester on this 
  5. 4 strips high quality bacon, cooked and crumbled
  6. 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
  7. 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  1. Begin by placing the potatoes in a pot with enough water to just cover the potatoes. Boil until just fork tender (about 12 minutes). While the potatoes are cooking, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, onions, and steak seasoning in a large bowl.
  2. When the potatoes are done cooking, drain them and allow them to come to room temperature. Add the slightly warm potatoes to the sour cream mixture and toss in the bacon and cheese. Mix well.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
